For those who have been advised to stop using tobacco products but still feel ambivalant, reducing the amount you smoke could be a temporary option. Complete cessation is definitely the best option, but (HARM) reduction is better than continuing to smoke your regular amount.
My cognitive counselling techniques will help you to look at all of the options so that when the time is right for you to become smoke-free for life, hypnosis is then offered in order to facilitate the change and to establish healthier alternative coping strategies.
Here's why my Intervention method is so successful.
Smoking is a habit, a behavior and an addiction. Cognitive counselling, which deals solely with the conscious (thinking) mind has approximately 22% success rate in assisting smokers to become permanently smoke-free. Hypnosis deals with the sub-conscious mind and has approximately 65% success rate. However, intervention that combines cognitive counselling with hypnosis has over 80% success rate in assisting smokers to become permanently smoke-free.
My method of intervention begins with one-on-one motivational interviewing & cognitive counseling in order to help the resistant client overcome ambivalence. Once a client has reached the ready-to-stop smoking stage, hypnosis is used to facilitate the changes that need to be made in order for the client to become smoke-free for life.
FACT: Tobacco smoke contains nicotine and over 4,000 chemicals and poisons. Over 50 of these cause cancer.
FACT: Smoking changes the brain chemistry, temporarily causing the smoker to feel better; the effect wears off after just a short time, the feel good feeling wanes and the smoker begins to crave another cigarette.
FACT: Smoking is the biggest single cause of cancer in the world.
FACT: Mild/Light cigarettes are just as deadly as regular strength. Smokers still inhale the same amount of poisons and toxins; they just do it through a different type of filter.

FACT: There is clear evidence from studies around the world that tobacco smoking is a major risk for advanced periodontal disease and loss of bone leading to loss of teeth.
